Why is a grow shop legal?
A grow shop, physical or online, is a horticulture business like any other as long as it complies with trade regulations. Our catalogue covers growing equipment (lighting, substrates, fertilisers, climate control, tents, accessories) and collectors' items such as cannabis seeds.
Why can cannabis seeds be bought and sold?
Because the seed falls outside the legal definition of cannabis. The UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, ratified by Spain, controls the flowering or fruiting tops and the resin, but expressly excludes the seeds and leaves not attached to the tops (art. 1.b), and its article 28 excludes cultivation for industrial or horticultural purposes. Trading in and possessing cannabis seeds is not a criminal offence in Spain.
Germination and cultivation, however, are prohibited unless expressly authorised. We sell them as collectors' and genetic preservation items, and each customer is responsible for knowing the law in their territory.
When is shipping free?
Orders from €50 ship free, with one exception: 50 L substrate sacks. As each weighs over 10 kg they carry a €4 surcharge per sack. Below €50, shipping is calculated in the cart and shown before payment.
Where do you ship?
Throughout mainland Spain and mainland Portugal. We do not ship to the Balearic or Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla or the Portuguese islands. For international orders, ask us about your country and product through the contact form or at info@bobgrow.com.
How long does delivery take?
We ship with ASM/GLS, who deliver within 24 to 72 working hours of the order leaving our warehouse. You receive a tracking number and link by email. Details of delivery attempts and pick-up points are on the Shipping and delivery page.
Can I order something that is out of stock?
Yes. We work directly with our distributors, so we can source out-of-stock products and even items not listed online. Write to us and we will confirm price and lead time.
Is online payment secure?
Yes. Card details are entered on the bank's secure page, not on our website: at checkout you are redirected to the Redsys gateway with Banco Sabadell. Card number, holder and validation codes are never stored in Bobgrow's databases. More detail on Secure payment.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All parcels ship in plain packaging with no logos or visible reference to the contents.
How are seeds germinated?
Only worth considering where home growing is permitted, so check first. The most common method is to place each seed on a paper napkin dampened with a spray bottle and keep it somewhere dark, clean and isolated (between two small plates, for instance), keeping it moist. Do I have to be an adult?
Yes. Sales are restricted to persons over 18 with legal capacity to enter into contracts.
